Man Posing As Attorney Scams Thousands From Victim, NY State Police Say A man from the region has been accused of posing as an attorney and targeting victims, including one he allegedly scammed out of thousands of dollars. The New York State Police have reported that an investigation has revealed that Northern Westchester County resident David Karaca, 56, of Somers, impersonated a lawyer in a virtual Alcoholics Anonymous group based in Los Angeles. 25-Year-Old Found Shot On Roadway In Region A 25-year-old man was found shot on a roadway in the region after police responded to multiple 911 calls. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, in the area of Oakley Street and N. Clinton Street in the city of Poughkeepsie. Widespread Bank Of America Outages Being Reported Many Bank of America customers are reporting issues accessing their accounts. First reports of the problems began just before 1 pm. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, with about 20,000 customers sharing outages on the website Downdetector.com. Some said they were stunned to see zero balances on their accounts. Others said they could not see their account balances. Issues with online and mobile systems, and ATM services are being reported. Disney+, the streaming video platform that boasts more than 150 million users, is raising the price of its monthly subscriptions beginning Thursday, Oct. 17, the company said.
